Without Indie 103.1 Alive On Airwaves, So-Called “Indie” Kids Won’t Know A** From Elbow

With all due respect, I wanted to strangle some fans of the Japanese Motors last night at the Echo where we were celebrating the eight year anniversary of Club Underground. Even in the dimly lit venue, it was obvious to tell the club-goers apart from the band fans. The band fans moved in like a herd, a team of sun kissed hippie wannabees touting a “gimme gimme” attitude. In this particular situation, my theory tested correct: the darker the hair color, the keener one’s music knowledge (mind, I was rubbed the wrong way; blonds are usually a-ok). Continue reading
